Find out more about our dedicated team of mediators who are committed to helping families find positive ways forward through understanding, communication and collaborative problem-solving.
Sue McArthur
Sue is an Accredited Family Mediator with over 15 years’ experience. She has been a Solicitor for over 35 years having trained in London and having requalified as a solicitor in Australia. Sue joined EMG in March 2020 as a Senior Associate.
Sue is a Hybrid Mediator which allows confidences to be retained within the process to enable clients to feel more confident exploring settlement options in a structured way. Often in hybrid mediation solicitors can be invited to attend.
Sue is also a Child Inclusive Mediator and can therefore see children as part of the mediation process either working with parents in her own mediation cases or for other mediators in their cases.
Sue is also a Collaborative Family Lawyer (the ‘no court’ divorce) and is a longstanding member of Resolution, both as a Solicitor and as a Mediator. She is a member of the local Resolution Committee and is a National Representative for the local Resolution Collaborative Group.
Daisy Hebblethwaite
Daisy is a Trained Family Mediator working towards Accreditation with experience supporting separating couples and families to resolve issues surrounding divorce, separation and children. She is committed to helping clients navigate difficult conversations in a constructive way, providing a calm and supportive environment where practical solutions can be explored. Daisy joined EMG in May 2023.
Passionate about helping families find a way forward following separation, Daisy believes that mediation can provide a positive alternative to resolving disputes through litigation. She works with clients to build understanding, encourage collaboration and achieve outcomes that work for everyone involved.
Daisy uses mediation to help clients communicate effectively and work towards agreements that are tailored to their individual circumstances. She supports clients in reaching informed decisions about arrangements for children, finances and future planning, while keeping the process focused on reducing conflict and avoiding unnecessary court proceedings.
Daisy is a member of Resolution and of the local Resolution Committee within the Tees Valley.
